Toby Lindala is a one of the most prolific makeup special effects artist and has contributed his talents to a variety of films and television programs dealing in both the sci-fi and horror genres since 1990

Toby worked on creating the famous look for The X-Files From 1993 to 1998 and was responsible for all the gruesome make-up effects, including the memorable worms from "Ice". He has immersed himself in blood gore and horror since he was 11 years old and at 19 created his first on-screen work.

He also worked on The X-Files movie. His work on the X-Files was twice nominated for Emmy awards in 1997 for "Leonard Betts" and 1998 for "The Post - Modern Prometheus". Then again in 2001 for his work on Voyage of the Unicorn

São na sua maioria fibras standard, mas havendo entre elas algumas que terão sido produzidas por encomenda de clientes. É possivel escolher a cor, o aspecto do pelo, o comprimento e até a densidade. Embora mais baratas, as standard, são no entanto relativamente dispendiosas para serem utilizadas em produções com orçamentos limitados. As feitas por encomenda estão limitadas a quantidades mínimas de 5 m2 . As fibras standard vendem-se em qualquer quantidade e rondam os 50 dollares cada 90 cm2.
